This is a fantastic opportunity for an interim chef with a sweet tooth! … We are looking for a Chef with a background in the pastry section, who has experience in developing either cakes, desserts, patisserie or confectionery.

Job Description

Our client has the most fantastic range of products and has been asked to develop an exclusive/bespoke range for a prestigious retail client.

The role will support the NPD Manager and be accountable for developing a number of recipes for sweet toppings that will be truly irresistible.  You will develop the recipes, and present internally before showcasing to the client. Ideally you will have worked as a Chef in an NPD or Production environment where cakes, desserts or patisserie has been produced and have an excellent understanding of all aspects of patisserie and the functionality of ingredients. It is important that you have understanding of batch or volume cooking  and be able to work with process and production teams guiding them through initial trials.

  • Craft skills developed within the Pastry section
  • Be a self starter, motivated to deliver the best results
  • Possess a passion and flair for developing sweet products
  • Have very good interpersonal skills, able to interact internally and directly with the retail partner
