With many sites throughout the UK and further planned organic and acquisitive growth, our client is now looking for an interim solution while recruiting a permanent candidate.

As a Food Safety Specialist you will provide commercially sensitive, objective and technical expertise to assist and provide guidance to all divisions of the business. This role is key for our client to develop and produce successful products. You will be reporting to the Head of Group Food Safety and you will be responsible for establishing and upholding food safety standards. As well as resolving associated issues promptly and efficiently.  Prior experience of developing, implementing and monitoring food safety systems and procedures is vital for this role. You will posses excellent communication skills and will have liaised closely with internal and external stakeholders. A proven track record in providing solutions to address different needs according to the Company’s food safety standards will also be required

To be successful you must have:

• Prior experience of HACCP and Food safety.
• Experience within a food manufacturing / retail business
• Experience of high and low risk products
• Enthusiasm and excellent investigative organising skills
• A high degree of self motivation
