Job Description

Demonstration Chefs required for a six month period - need to be within easy daily commute of Leeds. (This role could lead to a permanent appointment if the trial is successful). We are seeking a Chef with or without previous experience of retail in-store demonstrations. Our client is a leading retailer based in Yorkshire who is trialling new live food demonstrations. We are looking for a Chef who is able to engage the public, one who is completely versatile in their cooking ability. It is imperative that you can hold the attention of an audience, provide guidance, enthuse and educate doing all this while cooking great food!

Do you really have the flair and passion for cooking that will be able to stop customers in their tacks? Do you have the strength of character to interact with all types of customers, face a barrage of questions? You will be interacting and drawing in your audience all the time backing up your cooking with sound ingredient and culinary technique knowledge? You will need to be extremely versatile as you could be cooking anything .. whatever is in season, whatever is on offer on the butchery, fish or produce counters. You will put together recipe and meal ideas that are topical and will ultimately increase sales.
