Interim Human Resources jobs

The UK food and industry has a turnover in excess of £65 billion and is the biggest manufacturing industry in the UK. It has some of the biggest, well-managed and most efficient organisations in it anywhere in the world. At the polar extreme are small operations supplying local trade or regional markets. The industry is also a large employer with all the resultant HR issues of labour intensive environments. Interim HR professionals will have to cope with the pace and sheer volume of activity required. From experience we find it an easier transition for an interim personnel or HR professional to make an impact in the food industry if they have previous experience of food or another manufacturing or distribution sector.

Recent successful projects have included

Senior HR Interim job to work closely with the General Manager during a site closure and major redundancy programme. The existing HR Manager was on long-term sick leave at short notice so a specialist was required who had delivered a similar project who would not need a handover or 'settling in period'. The project was delivered successfully with seamless transition between the permanent person vacating the role temporarily and the interim taking over.
